I am an Annapolis resident who works right here in Anne Arundel County as a public school teacher. I love being a teacher, so much so that I left a career as an attorney to become a secondary school teacher, which means I specialize in teaching middle and high school students.

I'm running for office in 2022 to continue my service on the Anne Arundel County Council because, through both my work and my community involvement, I see up-close the needs and hopes of my students and their families, my district neighbors, and residents from throughout the county. I am an advocate for our community.

As a teacher, I know what's great about our schools. But I also know the many challenges faced by our schools, students, and staff.

As a homeowner, I know what makes Anne Arundel County a great place to live. But I also know that we can and need to be smarter about how our area is developed, how our infrastructure and public spaces are maintained, and the support we offer our public servants.
As a resident, I know we all want where we live to be economically vibrant, environmentally healthy, welcoming, crime free, and safe regardless of what type of home we live in or whether we get around by car, bicycle, public transportation, or on foot.
As an attorney and advocate, I know how to write and evaluate policies, budgets and laws.
As a Democrat, I believe that good government supports, improves and protects communities, personal rights, equality, democracy, our nation and world.
